INGREDIENT - Serves 2

  • 450 grams firm tofu, cubed

  • 1/4 cup of cornflour

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, minced

  • 2 tablespoons red habanero chilli jam

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree

  • 1 cup of water


To serve:

  • Rice

  • Green veggies of choice

  • Sesame seeds

METHOD

  1. Cut tofu into cubes, put in a mixing bowl with cornflour and toss to completely coat the tofu with cornflour.

  2. In a saucepan, heat oil. Add tofu to the pan and cook until golden.

  3. Mix together the garlic, ginger, red chili jam, soy sauce, tomato puree, and water, then add it to the pan and stir through.

  4. Continue cooking and sitrring until the sauce thickens.

  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds over tofu and serve with rice and greens of your choice.
